Packet Pickup

Packet pickup hours for the 2024 race are as follows:

  • 100K Solo and 100K Relay Team CaptainsRunners MUST pick up their packets on Friday the 19th between 2-5PM

  • 50K Solo and 50K Relay Team Captains

    • Friday before race day between 2PM and 5PM

    • Saturday race day between 6:45AM and 7:45AM

2024 Packet Pickup location will be the Vilas Park Shelter.

Chips and Starting Times
The 100K Solo runners MUST pick up their packet on Friday of race weekend betwen 2 and 5PM.

The 50K Solo runners may pick up their packet on Friday of race weekend between 2 and 5PM or Saturday race day between 6:45 and 7:30AM.

One member of each Relay team must pick up their reusable ankle chip bands on Friday of race weekend between 2 and 5PM or Saturday race day between 6:45 and 7:30AM.

  • 100K Solo and 100K Relay start at 6:30AM
  • 50K Solo 50K Relay start at 8:00AM
  • Early start is available for the Solo races.
 
Runner progress during the race will be available with updates after each runner crosses the timing mat.

Directions and Parking

The MadCity Ultras Race Headquarters is the Vilas Park Shelter.

The shelter is located at 1602 Vilas Park Drive, Madison, WI 53715. The City of Madison has changed the traffic pattern on this street, so you must now approach from the S. Mills Street. The section from Edgewood College to the Shelter entrance is now closed to vehicle traffic, and the section from the Shelter entrance to the Zoo parking lot is now two-way traffic.

Some parking near the Vilas Park Shelter may be limited to 2 hours so be sure to check the signage.  We may have event passes from the City so be sure to ask when picking up your packet. Parking areas are highlighted in the map below.
